Delphine O’Keeffe
Delphine has worked as a psychotherapist for over 10 years with clients from diverse backgrounds, on a wide range of issues, including workplace challenges, relationship issues, self-esteem, self-doubt, identity and sexuality, body issues, grief and loss, creative expression.
She has a particular interest in working with people who identify as highly sensitive, intuitive or neurodivergent.
She offers an open-minded, collaborative space for people to move through personal difficulties, as well as exploring life choices or questions about how to live a meaningful life.
How Delphine works:
Her approach is responsive to clients’ unique needs. She respects people’s choices and emphasise personal agency, while also recognising the wider social and collective influences that shape our individual experiences.
Delphine seeks to develop a therapeutic relationship based on trust over time, as an important foundation for exploring how clients relate to themselves and others.
Her practice orientation is humanistic, psychodynamic and integrative, and she incorporates existential and transpersonal perspectives into her work, which is also strongly influenced by body psychotherapy, inner child work, attachment theory, object relations and the neurobiology of trauma.
She sees psychotherapy as a creative process and enjoys collaborating with people to uncover their own inner wisdom and find new ways of approaching life.
Delphine is passionate about supporting people to develop the inner resources and resilience to express their authentic voice and fulfil their true potential in their lives, work, relationships and creations.
Background and Training:
Delphine comes from an Irish-French background, was raised bilingual in a multicultural environment, and has lived, worked and travelled in many different countries.
Having benefitted hugely from personal therapy herself over the years, and always been fascinated by philosophy, psychology and personal development, Delphine eventually left the NGO sector in her mid-30s to train in psychotherapy.
She holds a HDip in Counselling & Psychotherapy, and an M.A. (1st Hons) in Psychotherapy from DBS. She attends regular supervision and abides by the Code of Ethics of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP), of which she is a fully Accredited Member. She is also a member of the Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP).
Alongside psychotherapy Delphine does psycho-spiritual mentoring, facilitates women’s circles, and offers tailored training and workshops to companies and organisations on topics such as workplace wellbeing and embodied mindfulness.
