Donna Gordon

Donna works in a way that’s intentional, authentic and genuinely collaborative. She is a deep listener and takes the time to understand what life feels like from your side, not just the surface story but the layers underneath it. She believes meaningful change comes from careful attention, honesty and a strong working relationship and this guides how she shows up in the room with you. Donna asks questions in a kind, clear way and stays curious about what’s unfolding.

Her intention is to help you explore your thoughts and experiences at a pace that feels safe, while also gently challenging patterns that may be holding you back. She cares about the people she works with and puts in the effort to make sure you feel seen, heard and supported as you figure things out together. Donna brings a calm, steady presence when someone is moving through intense emotional struggle, keeping in mind that every person faces profound challenges at different points in their life.

With over twenty years in nursing and public health, Donna learned how to hold space for people in their most vulnerable moments. Those experiences helped her appreciate how much our histories, environments and relationships quietly shape us, deepening her ability to understand the forces that influence our inner worlds.

She holds an MA in Person-Centred Counselling, alongside postgraduate training in relationship mentoring and a diploma in communication. Her work is driven by a love of learning, supported by strong academic and clinical training that continues to guide her practice. She is a registered member of the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP).

Her expertise and key areas of interest include but are not limited to: supporting individuals through life transitions, grief and loss, burnout, identity exploration, building assertiveness, trauma and PTSD, fostering creativity, social anxiety, suicidality, neurodiversity and building resilience.
